Cowboy Marketing
Back in 1996 the OM was awarded the illustrious title of 'SA Retailer of the Year' at the National Conference of the then Nutritional Food Assn of Australia. (I was howled down by some when I spoke about the need for Health Food Shops (as they were known then) - to concentrate more on organic and wholefoods rather than the 'supposed' nutritional aspects of supplements!)
Ironically, the prize was a signed copy of a very relevant book called 'Chris Kilham's Cowboy Marketing' - 'How to shoot from the hip and win on the wild frontier of Natural Food Marketing'.
A great book - full of in your face illustrations and thought provoking articles which has stimulated me on how to market the OM over the years. I refer to it often when I need to get those marketing ideas on the move again!
